Israeli mobile app developer Zemingo Group has announced that it acquired local mobile app development company Sergata Mobile earlier this year. Financial details were not disclosed. Zemingo said that the move was part of its efforts in the direction of Apps of Things (AoT).
Sergata Mobile was founded in 2011 by Boris Lebowski and Gabby Lee, with a strong focus on native app development for iPhone and Android platforms. They became a service provider for leading product companies making their first steps in the world of mobile. Sergata Mobile portfolio, now part of Zemingo Group's development arm (Falcore), includes companies such as Verifone, Essence Security, HeraMed, FST and more.
One app for the Israeli start-up company Augury was designed to allow technicians to monitor industrial machines. Augury's Predictive Maintenance Solution saved their clients millions by warning of technical breakdowns before they occur, thus lowering maintenance costs dramatically.
Zemingo says that this acquisition further strengthen its position as the largest knowledge and experience base for app connected devices. “The team and I are excited to join Zemingo Group, we can now offer even more services to past customers, such as UX/UI and Marketing services, while allowing our team to work on even more challenging projects.” said Lebowski. Zemingo Group CEO Tsiki Naftaly said “Sergata Mobile built a great team and portfolio over the years and it create a great synergy with our strategic goal to become a leading service provider on a global scale”.
According to Research firm Gartner by the end of 2017, market demand for mobile app development services will grow at least five times faster than internal IT organizations' capacity to deliver them.
Zemingo says that it plans to boost activity in the US, mainly through their local team. Naftaly is targeting Internet of Things enterprises that wish to revolutionize their business and turn their product “smart”.
