Mon: Israel Chemicals leads TASE higher

Israel Chemicals and Opko led the gains today while Teva gave up some of yesterday's big gains.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.39% to 1,659.88 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.51% to 1,493.93 points; and the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.05% to 389.28 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.05% to 348.34 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.39 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.533% at NIS 3.583/$ from Friday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate up 0.149% at 4.177/€.

On the market, Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) rose 3.65% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 3.6% and parent company Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) rose 2.94%. NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) rose 1.78% and Frutarom Industries Ltd. (TASE: FRUT; LSE:FRUT; OTCBB:FRUTF) rose 0.56%.

Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) fell 1.95% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index and Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) fell 0.59%. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 0.76% on the day's biggest trading turnover.
