Mon: Sodastream leads strong TASE gains

Sodastream and Teva led the market higher today, Mazor led the declines.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 1.18% to 1,613.24 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 1.19% to 1,445.12 points; and the BlueTech Global Index rose 1.25% to 382.61 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.15% to 349.07 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.08 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.191% at NIS 3.662/$ from Friday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate up 0.031% at 4.180/€.

On the market, Sodastream International Ltd. (Nasdaq: SODA; TASE: SODA) rose 8.74% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index on the news that it is being acquired by PepsiCo for $3.2 billion. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 4.46% and Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 1.40% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) rose 6.40% and Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) rose 3.25%.

Mazor Robotics Ltd. (TASE:MZOR) fell 2.45% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 0.73% and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) fell 0.71%.
