Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set out three conditions for lifting sanctions on Iran.

In his controversial speech to the US Congress this evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu laid out three demands that should be accepted by Iran before sanctions are lifted, so that a "nuclear nighmare in the Middle East" can be avoided.

Netanyahu said, "We can insist that restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program not be lifted as long as Iran continues its aggression in the region and the world. Firstly, before lifting sanctions, the world should demand it stop attacks against regional countries. Second, stop supporting terrorism around the world. And third, stop threatening to annihilate my country, Israel, the one and only Jewish State."

Netanyahu said, "If Iran wants to be treated like a normal country, let it act like a normal country. The alternative to bad deal is not war, it’s a much better deal. A better deal would keep restrictions until Iran’s aggression ends. A better deal that won’t give Iran an easy path to the bomb. We need a better deal that Israel may not love, but with which we can live."
