Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz and Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon agreed that Ron-Tal would stay as chairman of Israel Electric Corporation.

Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) chairman Gen. (Res.) Yiftah Ron-Tal will continue in his post for a further term, Minister of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources Yuval Steinitz and Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon agreed today. Ron-Tal has been chairman of IEC since September 2010, after serving for three years as chairman of the board of the Israel Ports Company. He was due to leave his present position in June 2016.

Steinitz said today, "We have been working in the past few months on developing Israel's power industry, including the setting up of a unified electricity authority and promoting crucial reform at IEC.
