Some Snickers mini chocolate bars are being removed from shelves of Israeli stores after plastic was found in the product. The problems is part of a global recall of chocolate snack bars by Mars of its Mars, Snickers and Celebration products covering 55 countries, mainly in Europe but also including Israel and other countries in the Middle east and North Africa as well as Australia and Taiwan.
The affected bars were produced in the Netherlands and may contain small pieces of plastic following an incident during production.
Mars in Israel said, "The recall announced by the company relates to only one product sold in Israel by Sides (Israeli importer and distributor) - Snickers 187 gram mini bars with an expiration date of November 11, 2016 and serial number 551C1NLD04. There is just a few thousands of this product on the market and the company will be collecting them on Wednesday. There have so far been no complaints reported in Israel."
