The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange was mixed today on very thin trading. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.07% to 1,468.66 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.09%, to 1,277.23 points; and the BlueTech Index rose 0.54% to 338.92 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.19% 323.77 points. Trading turnover was NIS 509.9 million.
On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.492% on Friday at NIS 3.839/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set down 0.313% at NIS 4.235/€.
On the market, Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA; TASE: ORMT) was up 2.05% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 index. Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT; TSX: GZT) rose 1.82% and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 1.68%. Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 1.24% and Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) rose 1.05%.
Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 2.47% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 25 Index today on the day's largest trading turnover. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 1.22% and Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) fell 1%.
