Israel Chemicals and NICE Systems led the market higher today as Teva and Perrigo fell.
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.60% to 1,676.03 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.54% to 1,501.03 points; and the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.55% to 397.50 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.08% to 349.20 points. Trading turnover was NIS 660.9 million.
On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.166% at NIS 3.604/$ on Friday and set the shekel-euro rate down 0.251% at 4.212/€.
On the market, Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 1.66% and NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) rose 1.73% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 0.93% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 0.81%.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 1.48% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Frutarom Industries Ltd. (TASE: FRUT; LSE:FRUT; OTCBB:FRUTF) fell 0.24% on the day's biggest trading turnover and Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 0.89%.
