Thu: TASE down in line with global falls

The main indices fell today to make it a negative week in Tel Aviv, although leading stock Perrigo rose strongly.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today, in line with world markets. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.98%, to 1,538.39 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index fell 0.96%, to 1,401.35 points; and the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.67%, to 375.79 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.13%, to 347.01 points. Turnover totaled NIS 3.2 billion in equities, and NIS 3.9 billion in bonds.

For the week, the Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 1.0%. The index is up 5.1% for the year to date.

On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was set 0.22% higher, at NIS 3.6270/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.24% lower, at NIS 4.1113/€.

Perrigo led trading today, and rose 3.02%. Bank Leumi fell 0.21%; Israel Chemicals fell 3.78%; Discount Bank fell 1.38%; and Nice Systems rose 0.89%.

Notable advancers today were AudioCodes, up 4.15%, and Energean, up 2.53%.Teva fell 6.01%, and Opko Health fell 4.28%. Cannabis company Intercure rose 10% after the company's shareholders approved the package for chairperson Ehud Barak.
