The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose slightly today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.05%, to 1,702.05 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.03%, to 1,466.28 points; and the BlueTech Index rose 0.53%, to 366.09 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.02%, to 321.07 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.44 billion.
For the week, the Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.5%. The index is up 16.2% year-to-date.
On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was set 0.24% higher, at NIS 3.818/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.83% higher, at NIS 4.1993/€.
Opko Health led trading today, and was also the leading advancer, rising 6.2%. Teva fell 1.03%, on news that takeover target Mylan had activated a "poison pill" mechanism; Bank Hapoalim rose 0.10%; Bank Leumi rose 0.12%; and Perrigo rose 0.71%
Besides Opko Health, notable advancers today were Tower Semiconductor, up 4.89%; Oil Refineries, up 1.86%; and Clal Insurance, up 1.65%. Notable decliners were Ado, which raised €415 million in Frankfurt today, down 7.99%; Alon Blue Square, down 6.74%; and Bezeq, down 3.18%.
