The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.45%, to 1,424.94 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.77%, to 1,242.83 points; and the BlueTech Index rose 1.25%, to 351.43 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.07%, to 320.02 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.77 billion.
The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 2.7% over the past week. The index is down 6.8% since the beginning of the year.
On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was set 1.3% higher, at NIS 3.8420/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.85% lower, at NIS 4.1828/€.
Teva again led the charge today, and corrected by a further 2.98%. Perrigo outdid it, rising 8.57%. Bank Hapoalim rose 0.09%; Mylan closed flat; and Bank Leumi was the only one of the top-five traded stocks to fall, by 1.10%.
Other healthcare stocks also continued to perform strongly today in the wake of Donald Trump's presidential election win in the US. MannKind rose all of 31.84%, and Biotime was up 5.79%. SodaStream, which reported goof third quarter results today, rose 22.79%. Gazit Globe was a notable decliner today, falling 3.91%.
