Tue: Opko plunges

The main indices rose today, with all five leading stocks advancing, but Opko Health nosedived after announcing a large debt offering.

The main indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.58%, to 1,562.33 points and the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.55%, to 1,422.30 points. The BlueTech Global Index fell 0.11%, to 378.32 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.17%, to 347.37 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.16 billion in equities and NIS 2.98 billion in bonds..

On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was set 0.47% lower, at NIS 3.6100/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.68% lower, at NIS 4.1249/€.

All five leading stocks rose today. Bezeq topped trading and rose a further 2.67% after a 6% surge yesterday. Discount Bank rose 0.38%; Israel Chemicals rose 0.71%; Bank Hapoalim rose 1.01%; and Teva rose 2.03%. Opko Health fell 20% after announcing a convertible bond offering.
