The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.62% to 1,678.82 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.65% to 1,473.91 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index fell 0.52% to 381.81 points. Turnover was NIS 1.63 billion.
In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.984/$, down 0.747% on yesterday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.212/€, down 0.336%.
In the bond market, the corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.02%.
In the stock market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 1.96%, giving up some of its recent gains but Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) continued its strong winning streak, rising 0.21%.
Most Tel Aviv 25 Index shares fell today with Osem Investments Ltd. (controlled by Nestle SA (SWX:NESN)) (TASE: OSEM) falling 2.96% to record the biggest fall on the blue chip index. Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) fell 2.36%, Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) fell 1.24% but Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) was unchanged. NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) fell 1.31%.
Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) rose 2.01% for the largest rise on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.
