There were 206,000 unemployed at the end of February, while the rate of participation in the work force fell from 64.2% to 63.9%.
Among men the unemployment rate at the end of February was 5.1%, up from 4.8% in January. Among women the unemployment rate at the end of February was 5.5%, up from 5.4% in January.
The number of people in part-time work (less than 35 hours per week) fell by 1.4% at the end of February (a fall of 12,000 people). The rate of people working full time rose to 77.8% at the end of February from 77.5% at the end of January.
