ICL reports new party at interest

Capital Research and Management Company owns 5.18% of the company, worth $400 million.

Israel Chemicals Ltd. (TASE: CHIM) today released the names of parties at interest in the company, in which a new company is included: Capital Research and Management Company, which owns 5.18% of the company.

Capital Research and Management is part of The Capital Group of Companies, a longstanding US mutual funds management company that manages $850 billion in mutual funds and $300 billion for institutions and operates in 20 countries.

Israel Chemicals says that Capital Research and Management owns 66,690,623 ordinary shares. The share is currently traded at NIS 26, which gives a value of $400 million for the US fund’s stake. The other parties at interest in Israel Chemicals are Israel Corp. (TASE: ILCO), with a 52.2% stake and Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (NYSE; TSX:POT), with 10%.
