The Ministry of Communications sees a conflict of interests in the bank holding the shares of both Keshet and YES.
The Ministry of Communications has decided that there is a conflict of interests in Bank Leumi (TASE:LUMI) holding shares in both satellite broadcaster YES, formally known as DBS Satellite Services (1998) Ltd. and Channel 2 franchisee Keshet Broadcasting Ltd.
Consequently Bank Leumi is expected to sell its 20% stake in Keshet and this could hasten a merger between Channel 2's two franchisees Keshet and Reshet Television Ltd.
