Gasoline prices have risen by 29% since the start of 2009.
Gasoline will rise by 6% in price at midnight - the equivalent of NIS 0.35 per liter. This follows a similar rise of NIS 0.35 per liter in excise ten days ago as part of the government's tax rises.
Following the latest price rise gasoline will cost more than NIS 6.00 per liter and would have risen by 29% since the beginning of the year.
The price of a liter of 95 octane gasoline at self service pumps will be NIS 6.14 compared with NIS 5.44 at the beginning of May - an increase of 13%. At full service pumps the price will be NIS 6.27.
