More than 10% of Israel Broadcasting Authority employees receive a gross salary greater than NIS 17,000 per month, and at least 36 employees earn more than NIS 35,000, according to the Ministry of Finance's 2007 public sector salary report. These figures do not include reimbursements and other benefits.
The report adds that the top Broadcasting Authority wage-earner made a monthly salary of NIS 46,000, 30% more than director general Mordechai Sklar's salary of NIS 33,400. 49 other Broadcasting Authority employees also earn more than Sklar. The report does not name these individuals.
The Broadcasting Authority had 1,800 employees in 2007, 197 of whom made more than NIS 17,000 a month. Reimbursements and other benefits add thousands of shekels a month to their salaries.
