The company fired 18% of Israeli workforce last week.
Sources inform ''Globes'' that Freescale Semiconductor Inc. (NYSE: FSL) is seeking to sublet its 1,300-square meter premises in Herzliya Pituah. Real estate market sources believe that it is asking NIS 50 per square meter per month.
The move comes a week after the company announced the laying off of 18% of its workforce in Israel - 100 of 600 employees - and the consolidation of its R&D activity.
Freescale rents the space from Fishman Holdings unit Industrial Buildings Corp. (TASE: IBLD). Eliezer Fishman is the controlling shareholder in “Globes”.
