Vita Galilee talks back on

The talks collapsed at the end of last week when the potential buyers said that their terms had not been met.

Negotiations to sell Vita-Galilee Fruit Ltd. (Vita-Pri Galil) (TASE: VITA) are apparently back on.

Sources inform "Globes" that Zaki Shalom and Zvi Kuperly, the owners of independent supermarket chain Kol Bo Hazi Hinam Ltd., are again in talks with banks to buy the company.

The talks collapsed at the end of last week when the potential buyers said that their terms had not been met. The areas of disagreement revolved around a company debt to international food company Rich's, the valuation of inventory, and the refusal of the bank-appointed manager, Adv. Ofer Attias, to include rights to brand names such as Vita in the deal.

When Attias was asked what the logic is in buying the facility without the rights to the brands' trademarks, he told "Globes", "I didn't buy the factory. Ask them."
