"Fact: Yesh owner Nochi Dankner is the greatest Sabbath desecrator of our generation!!!", scream pamphlets distributed in haredi (ultra-orthodox) neighborhoods in Jerusalem against the chairman and CEO of IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH), the controlling shareholder in supermarket chain Shufersal Ltd. (TASE:SAE;Pink Sheets:SSLTF) which operates the discount chain Yesh. The leaflets were distributed over Passover.
The backs of the pamphlets declare, "There is a desecrator of the Sabbath! The time has come to expose the truth! Nochi Dankner works on the Sabbath, including Golf & Co., Cellcom, tourism agencies Natour, Unitel, and Yossi Tours, Hadera Paper, and Hogla Kimberly, and Israir. People who shop at Yesh trample the Sabbath."
This is the first time that personal pamphlets have appeared against Nochi Dankner in the haredi community, although there have been pamphlets against Hadera Paper Ltd. (AMEX: AIP; TASE: AIP) joint venture Hogla Kimberly Ltd.
Although the identity of the pamphleteers is unknown, the pamphlets' distribution could have far-reaching repercussions against the Yesh supermarket chain, as well as the other companies mentioned in the pamphlets, in the haredi community.
