Israelis know of Twitter, but don’t use it

Google Israel again topped the rankings with a weekly exposure rate of 89.6%.

Despite the media buzz, only 1% of Israeli Internet users have registered for the Twitter micro-blogging service, according to the TIM survey for April of websites' weekly exposure rates. The survey found that 18% of Internet users said that had heard about Twitter, with a substantial drop-off among surfers over the age of 50, compared with younger Internet users. More secular Internet users knew about Twitter than religious surfers. There was no difference between men and women.

Ynet's weekly exposure rate fell 10.7% in April to 55.8%, while Walla's weekly exposure rate rose 3.6% to 68.6%.
