Thermal and optical imaging products maker Opgal Optronics Ltd. has won a $10 million tender from a European integrator to provide its EYE R25 thermal imaging systems.
Based in Karmiel, Opgal Optronics is owned jointly by Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE:ESLT) and Rafael Armament Development Authority Ltd. and has 100 employees.
Opgal Optronics CEO Dror Sharon said that supply of the systems would start in the coming weeks and the entire order will be delivered over the next six months.
Opgal Optronics EYE R25 system is part of the thermal imaging systems in the EYE R series that the company develops. This family of products is based on 25-micron wavelength detectors, which can be integrated into a broad number of applications. The company stresses that the system's camera includes a broad range of operations programs enabling integrators to build the products and applications they specifically need.
