Six companies have bought the request for information (RFI) documents for the NIS 1 billion Shafdan sludge treatment tender: Tahal Group, Bar Idan MIC Ltd., Shacham Givat Ada Ltd., Mishey Hadarom Ltd., Haim Eilat Ltd., and Nviro International Inc. (Bulletin Board: NVIC) of the US,
France's Veolia Environnement SA (NYSE: VE; Euronext: VIE) did not buy the RFI document. Egodan, the Dan Cities Association for Sewage, which published the tender, said that Veolia was seriously considering participation in the tender.
The Shafdan sludge treatment facility will take three and a half years to build, and is scheduled to open in late 2012. Egodan is due to complete the tender documents in the coming weeks.
