The shekel-dollar exchange rate is up 0.32% to NIS 3.815/$, and the shekel-euro exchange rate is down 0.18% to NIS 5.3666/€.
One year ago, the shekel-dollar rate was at NIS 3.46/$, having risen from a multi year low of near NIS 3.2/$. The exchange rate is currently near the NIS 3.802/$ level at which it ended 2008. The exchange rate rose to NIS 4.256/$ by the end of April, and has generally fallen since then.
Yesterday, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.803/$, 0.582% higher than the day before, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 5.3761/€, 0.435% lower than the day before.
