The battered real estate company is seeking to improve its public and media image.
Africa-Israel Investments Ltd. (TASE:AFIL; Pink Sheets:AFIVY) has hired the publicist services of advertizing agency Gitam BBDO CEO Moshe Theumim. Sources inform "Globes" that Theumim himself will be part of the media campaign to improve the public and media image of the battered real estate company, controlled by chairman Lev Leviev, which has captured headlines because of its debt of $7.5 billion and its inability to repay bondholders.
Gitam, one of Israel's largest advertising agencies, has been hired to support Africa-Israel in its public and media challenges and provide the company with strategic advice.
Theumim has pioneered advertising in Israel and is a close friend and advisor of President Shimon Peres.
