OpTier wins deal with French bank

The bank has 7,300 employees in 569 branches.

Ramat Gan based business transaction management (BTM) software developer OpTier Inc. has won a contract to provide its CoreFirst systems to French bank Credit Mutuel Arkea. The bank chose CoreFirst to improve its online banking services.

Credit Mutuel Arkea has 7,300 employees in 569 branches throughout France and provides banking services to 2.9 million customers. The bank will apply OpTier's systems for credit services, and the general online trade and banking services that it provides.

CoreFirst will enable the bank to follow in real-time the online actions of its customers, while speedily identifying and solving breakdowns stemming from overloaded computer systems.

OpTier's deputy CEO Motti Tal said, "In today's competitive environment, information systems are critical for a business's success. In the financial sector this is an especially important factor, because slow or unavailable applications can immediately harm a customer's profitability."
