Sources inform ''Globes'' that French businessman Patrick Drahi has won the Motorola Inc. (NYSE: MOT) tender for the acquisition of Mir Communications Ltd. The deal was signed last night after a difficult and protracted bidding process against Hezi Bezalel.
Sources inform "Globes" that Drahi apparently paid $170-180 million for Mirs. In recent days, Bezalel tried to raise his offer to $200 million, but sources inform "Globes" that Drahi already had exclusivity.
