Access road opened today for new IKEA store

The second IKEA Israel branch in Rishon Lezion will open next week.

Road 4311, widened from two lanes to a four lane highway, was opened today. The road in Rishon Lezion leading to IKEA Israel new branch in Me'uyan Soreq in Rishon Lezion was inaugurated today ahead of the opening of the furniture retail outlet next week.

The widening of the road was a condition of the Central Region planning and construction committee for the opening of the store.

Not only vehicle owners will be able to visit the store. Four bus routes will begin operating next week to the Me'uyan Soreq store from the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station, the Rishon LeZion Central Bus Station, Palmahim and the Rishonim railway station.

The 34,000-square meter store will be the biggest IKEA store in the Middle East. The pedestrian path through the store is two kilometers long, with 46 display rooms. The store has 1,400 parking spaces, seven elevators, three escalators, a small cinema, and wheelchairs.

IKEA Israel said that more than 20 million people have visited the Netanya store to date, and that awareness of the IKEA brand among Israelis was 97%.
