Revenue up 42.7% at supermarket co Rami Levy

The chain opened four new branches during 2009, and saw higher same store sales as well.

Supermarket firm Rami Levy Chain Stores Hashikma Marketing 2006 Ltd. (TASE: RMLI) reported a jump of 42.7% in revenue for 2009. Full year revenue reached NIS 1.34 billion, according to the company's financial report filed today.

The increase was attributed to higher same store sales as well as the opening of four new branches.

Profit from regular activities was NIS 99.6 million in 2009, up 42.5% from 2008.

Rami Levy's share price rose 1.3% by mid-afternoon. The share is up 16% so far in 2010.
