Minister of Communications Moshe Kahlon visited the Jerusalem headquarters of mobile phone service provider Talk’n’Save to explore potential areas of cooperation between the company and the Communications Ministry. The meeting focused on Israel’s mobile market and the ability of niche market operators to boost competition and encourage operators to come up with more attractive offers for customers.
Kahlon acknowledged that smaller niche market companies like Talk’n’Save face specific challenges and said that he will be working to refine the laws to help the interests of those companies.
Mobile phone provider Talk’n’Save serves the student and tourist markets and foreigners spending extended periods of times living in Israel. Talk’n’Save CEO Uri Schechterman welcomed Kahlon's support and confidence, saying, “We are excited that the Minister realizes and understands the value of openness in the Israeli cellular marketplace.”
