Web security co Commtouch reports new OEM deals

According to Commtouch, the five new OEM customers resulted in a total of 137 OEM partners using either its messaging or Web security technologies, or both.

Messaging and web security product developer Commtouch Software Ltd. (Nasdaq: CTCH; TASE: CTCH) said that it signed of five new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners in the first quarter of 2010.

During the quarter, Netanya-based Commtouch signed eight agreements for its URL filtering web security product, four of which were with new OEM partners and the others with existing partners, increasing the total number of OEM partners using Commtouch Internet security solutions to 26.

According to Commtouch, the five new OEM customers resulted in a total of 137 OEM partners using either its messaging or Web security technologies, or both.

Commtouch CEO Gideon Mantel said, “Eight new deals, together with a total of 26 Web security partners, are a strong testament to the market need for a new cloud-based Web security solution, such as that offered by Commtouch.”

Commtouch claims its technology automatically analyzes billions of Internet transactions in real-time in its global data centers to identify new threats as they are initiated, protecting email infrastructures and enabling safe, compliant browsing.

Commtouch shares closed yesterday at $3.80, giving a market cap of $91.04 million.
