Shula Zaken released to house arrest

Police said that Zaken is suspected of allegedly receiving bribes totaling NIS 1 million.

The Rishon LeZion Magistrates Court today released Shula Zaken, who served as the bureau chief of former prime minister Ehud Olmert, to house arrest for 10 days. Zaken was arrested as part of the investigation of the Holyland affair. The house arrest was reported by “IDF Radio" (Galei Zahal).

The police told the court that Zaken is suspected of allegedly receiving bribes totaling NIS 1 million. She is also suspected of transferring bribery payments to the Jerusalem city engineer and to Olmert ally Udi Messer, as well as of disruption of proceedings.
