Direct response online marketing solutions developer MediaBoost Ltd. has raised $2.5 million, bringing the total amount raised to date to $9 million. Investors include BRM Capital, Vertex Venture Capital, and Teuza - A Fairchild Technology Venture Ltd. (TASE:TUZA). Tueza invested $724,000 in the new round, increasing its stake in the company to 19% from 17%.
MediaBoost CEO Atias Matas founded the company. In 2002, he founded Internet venture Compile Ltd. and later founded Israeli social networking site Hevre.
MediaBoost's software can predict anticipated revenue and spending of each bid of a keyword or expression, which optimizes the cost an advertiser should offer and what it can expect. The company says that its solution can improve the profit of an ad campaign on Google by an average of 30%.
Search engine based online advertising reached $32 billion in 2009 and $9 billion in the first quarter of 2010.
