Two lawyers will convert the closed Nof Galil Hotel into 30 vacation apartments.
The decision to build a medical school in Safed may be giving rise to new development in the Galilee town. Sources inform ''Globes'' that two partners have bought the Nof Galil Hotel in Safed, and plan to renovate it and build 30 vacation apartments at an investment of NIS 13 million, including the land. Last week, "Globes" reported that the Safed Planning and Development Commission approved a luxury residential project in the town.
Adv. Mordechai Greenfeld and Adv. David Handel bought hotel six months ago from Canaan Bereshit Hotels Ltd. The hotel, which has 2,200 square meters of built-up space, was closed over ten years ago. Greenfeld and Handel plan to build two-room vacation apartments with up to 100 square meters of space, and rename the hotel "Galilee Residences" and brand it as a luxury hotel.
