Moshe Kahlon attaches great importance to increasing competition in the telecommunications industry, and in the mobile market in particular.
Minister of Communications Moshe Kahlon today approved the transfer of the controlling interest in Xfone 018 Communications Ltd. from Abraham Keinan and Guy Nissenson to Hezi Bezalel for NIS 31 million. The deal was closed in May.
The Ministry of Communications examined Xfone 018's request for the transfer of control to Bezalel's Marathon Telecom Ltd. Kahlon attaches great importance to increasing competition in the telecommunications industry, and in the mobile market in particular, and approving the sale helps this effort. "The transfer of control of Xfone is a move that will increase the competitive potential in the communications market for the good of Israeli consumers," he said.
Xfone 018 was the Israeli operations of Xfone Inc. (AMEX:XFN; TASE:XFN).
