Playtech named top AIM co

Gaming industry software developer Playtech Cyprus Ltd. (AIM:PTEC), controlled by Teddy Sagi, last week won the 2010 AIM International Company of the Year at the London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) awards.

The Awards recognized Playtech's achievements in its continuing strong growth as an international business operating in multiple territories across the globe.

Playtech CEO Mor Weizer said, "We are delighted to have been recognized for this prestigious award. It is a testament to the exceptional level of work by Playtech’s employees and partners that we have received such an important accolade and continue to be a market leader in the gaming industry."

Playtech chairman Roger Withers added, "We see ourselves as a company trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market, and we conduct ourselves accordingly."

Playtech's share price rose 0.7% at the opening in London today to ₤4.28, giving a market cap of ₤1.03 billion.
