Despite controversy, NTA gears up for TA light rail

NTA will publish tenders next week for a CEO, VP engineering, and legal advisor.

Metropolitan Mass Transit System Ltd. (NTA), the government company responsible for mass transit projects in Greater Tel Aviv (the Dan region) will publish tenders next week for a CEO, VP engineering, and legal counsel.

Yishay Dotan, NTA acting general manager for seven years, resigned last June, and his position has since been filled by CFO Galit Assaf Shenhar. Publication of the tenders was coordinated with the Government Companies Authority, as part of NTA's preparations to build the Tel Aviv light rail's Red Line.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene a meeting at his office on the future of the Tel Aviv light rail project.
