Efficient and transparent power flow technology company Panoramic Power will be one of nine startups competing this week for the title of IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year at IBM’s SmartCamp Finals event in Dublin, Ireland.
Panoramic Power was the winner of the IBM Israel SmartCamp event.
The winner will claim the title of IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year by successfully pitching their unique Smarter Planet business idea to a panel of industry experts.
Panoramic Power is developing a very low-cost and practical solution for precisely monitoring electrical consumption at the individual circuit-level. Panoramic Power provides a solution for owners and managers of existing commercial buildings to reduce the consumption of electrical energy as well as predict and prevent equipment failure, system overload and electrical risks.
IBM SmartCamp brings together startups from around the world that are building new technologies to tackle some of the world's most pressing issues such as energy efficiency, the environment, and personalized healthcare. SmartCamp winners receive mentoring, access to industry experts and technology, and deeper partnership opportunities from IBM, venture capital firms and industry partners.
Michael Oran, manager of the IBM global technology unit of IBM Israel said, “IBM launched the SmartCamp events as a way to discover young companies who are helping to build a smarter planet. Panoramic Power is led by co-founder and CEO Dr. David Almagor. CTO Adi Shamir is another co-founder. The company is based in Kfar Saba.
