Egyptian gas supply resumes to Jordan but not to Israel

Gas began to flow to Jordan this afternoon, but it is still unclear when the supply to Israel will be restored.

Egypt renewed the flow of natural gas to Jordan today. Sources inform "Globes" that gas supplies were resumed at about 3pm this afternoon but meanwhile it remains unclear when the gas will start flowing to Israel again.

The flow of natural gas from Egypt to Israel and Jordan was stopped on February 5 following a terror attack on the gas pipeline near El Arish in the Sinai, at the height of the Egyptian uprising.

Since then East Mediterranean Gas Company has informed its Israeli clients four times that the renewal of gas supplies is imminent, only for the renewal of the gas flow to be delayed.
