Michal Abadi-Boiangiu confirmed as Accountant General

She is the first woman to hold the post.

Michal Abadi-Boiangiu was confirmed as the next Ministry of Finance Accountant General today. She is the first woman to hold the post.

Minister of Finance Yuval Steinitz told the cabinet today, "Michal Abadi-Boiangiu has been outstanding in her positions in both the public and private sector, and there is no one more suited to this job. This is the first time in Israel's history that a woman has been chosen for one the most senior and influential positions in the government."

Abadi-Boiangiu (45), is currently EVP head chief accountant division at First International Bank of Israel (TASE: FTIN)
