Charter flights from Israel to Antalya in Turkey will stop flying next Sunday due to the fall in demand, according to KTA International CEO Shai Fredo, who represents foreign airlines operating charter flights in Israel , mainly between Turkey and Israel.
According to Fredo, this is the second time in the past 25 years that flights to Antalya have been stopped due to a fall in demand. He said, "The first time was immediately after the Marmara incident."
He added, "We are not talking about a political statement like we're not flying to Turkey but rather a sharp fall in demand.
Turkish Airlines will continue its scheduled flights between Ben Gurion Airport and Istanbul.
other market sources also said that flights to Antalya were being stopped due to lack of demand but hoped that the flights might recommence during the holidays.
