Jerusalem c'ttee approves 1,100 apartments in Gilo

The Jerusalem District Planning and Building Committee has approved for deposit plans for apartments in the southern neighborhood of Gilo.

The Jerusalem District Planning and Building Committee has approved for deposit plans for the construction of 1,100 apartments in the southern slopes of the neighborhood of Gilo - beyond the Green Line. The plans were submitted by Himanuta Ltd. The neighborhood's southern slopes face the Palestinian city of Beit Jala.

The public has 60 days to file objections to the plan.

20% of the apartments will be small apartments, in line with instruction by Minister of Interior Eli Yishai. The plan also includes open spaces, a school, commercial center, and public buildings.
