Shalit swap generates massive int'l media interest

JCS CEO Hanani Rapaport: Such massive international media interest has not been seen in Israel since the Turkish flotilla incident in May 2010.

Tomorrow's prisoner exchange for kidnapped IDF First Sergeant Gilad Shalit has generated massive interest by the international media. Interest by the French media is particularly intense, as Shalit is also a French citizen.

Jerusalem Capital Studios Ltd. (JCS) will be transmitting live satellite broadcasts of Shalit's return to scores of TV networks worldwide, including CNN, ABC, NBC, and FOX in the US, ITN, Italy's RAI, France 2, China's CCTV, Britain's Sky TV and ITN, and Germany's ARD and ZDF.

JCS will also operate two mobile satellite broadcast centers at Shalit's home in Mitzpeh Hila in the Galilee to provide live coverage. An additional mobile broadcast center with six cameras will provide coverage for Channel 2 News.

JCS CEO Hanani Rapaport said that such massive international media interest has not been seen in Israel since the Turkish flotilla incident in May 2010.
