2 Grad rockets land near Ashkelon

In two separate incidents during the night, two grad rockets landed south of Ashkelon. There were no injuries or damage.

After a quiet weekend, two Grad rockets were fired during the night towards Ashkelon. There were no casualties. The shooting follows an Israel Air Force strike on terrorists in the Gaza Strip who tried to launch rockets towards Israel.

A siren was sounded just after 3:00 am in the areas near Ashkelon, and shortly thereafter a Grad rocket exploded in an open area south of the city. Earlier in the evening a separate Grad rocket was launched towards Ashkelon. This rocket also landed in an open area south of Ashkelon. There was no damage or casualties in either attack.

Last night, the Israel Air Force attacked terrorists in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian media reported that Abdallah Mihana of the Khan Yunis squad, who was a member of Islamic Jihad's military wing, was killed in the strike. The IDF Spokesman's Office said that the Israel Air Force foiled an attempt to launch a rocket from the Gaza Strip, and that the target was hit.
