Optimum Real Estate wins Texas airport tender

The $30 million project includes building an airport for domestic cargo and private airplanes, paving runways and roads, landscaping, and building hydraulic systems.

Optimum Real Estate Investments, owned by Tamir Poleg and Omri Shafran, has won another tender to build an airport in Texas. The project is worth $30 million. The airport will be built in Victoria, population 200,000, and will be used by domestic cargo and private airplanes. The project includes paving runways and roads, landscaping, and building hydraulic systems.

This past June, Optimum won a tender to upgrade an airport in San Angelo, Texas, worth $20 million. At the same time, Optimum won an $8 million tender to build a seafront promenade in Corpus Christi, a resort town in the Gulf of Mexico.

Poleg said, "The US government is allocating huge budgets for infrastructure projects throughout the country. The main idea is to improve infrastructure and to expand public office buildings, but step by step with government budget incentives for the construction industry, which would thereby create jobs and improve the economy. These projects include renovating municipal buildings, paving roads, building purification systems, and building playgrounds."
