WideMed Ltd. (TASE:WDMD) has won orders for its Morpheus Hx sleep apnea monitor from GE Healthcare for sale in Canada and South Korea to demonstrate the system to potential buyers.
Widemed has already obtained approval from Canada Health for its three monitors after they passed the Canadian Medical Device Regulations. The Korean order is to demonstrate the monitor in conjunction with GE's Mars VLS device to the Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA).
WideMed CEO Anya Eldan said, "In the past few months, we have been working hard with GE Healthcare to expand the marketing of the companies' joint solution to new territories. At the same time, the company is expanding the marketing of all its products by obtaining regulator clearance, on top of clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), for the Morpheus OX monitor and the Canada Health approval for all three monitors." The company also obtained EU CE Mark for its monitors earlier this year.
WideMed's share price rose 6.7% today to NIS 0.47, giving a market cap of NIS 10 million.
