Babylon CEO sells NIS 7.8m stake

Alon Carmeli has overseen a turnaround in the company's fortunes and accumulated shares and options worth NIS 25 million.

Babylon Ltd. (TASE:BBYL) CEO Alon Carmeli has sold shares in the translation software company worth NIS 7.8 million. He sold 639,194 shares at a price of NIS 12.20 each.

This is Carmeli's second major round of selling shares. Twelve months ago he sold his first package of 1.6 million options for NIS 3.03 million, and shares for NIS 4.7 million. Carmeli still holds options worth NIS 10.1 million meaning that he has accumulated shares and options worth NIS 25 million in the company.

Carmel is himself responsible for a turnaround in the company's fortunes. The share price has risen by 122% over the past year, and by 38% since the start of 2012.
