Global advertising agency Y&R has announced that it is joining Microsoft Israel's new start up incubator as a partner. Its activities in the incubator will be run by local advertising agency Shalmor Avnon Amichay/Y&R. The aim is to promote innovation through partnerships with start ups in the incubator.
Microsoft Israel announced last month that it was setting up an incubator for start ups after a long period of offering passive support through its development tools and various services. The incubator will be located at its R&D center in Herzliya Pituach.
Interest in Israel by international ad agencies is growing. Only yesterday it was reported that McCann Erikson Worldwide Inc. has invested $4 million in TheTime, a new media investment firm founded by Ilan Shiloach and Nir Tarlovski.
