Leasing company Albar Ltd. sold 48 electric cars for Better Place Inc. during the Automania fair in Tel Aviv during the Sukkot holiday. The company sold 1,090 cars during the fair.
Albar said that 55,000 people visited its pavilion, and that they bought 740 used and 350 new cars, including 48 electric Renault Fluence ZEs marketed by Better Place. Albar also bought 365 cars in trade-in and cash deals.
"The fair's sales figures again demonstrate that the Israeli consumer responds well when offered good deals," says Albar CEO Yanon Amit. "This year, we've expanded the supply of cars shown and increased the number of importers at the fair. The public voted with its feet and arrived in droves."
